Woke up somewhat late today, 9:30 or so, shaved, had Panda Express leftovers for breakfast. My XZ-2 arrived around 11:30 this morning, packed with all the items from the listing, and it felt both too light and too dense at the same time. I think the rear tilting screen alters the handling substantially. It was a little awkward getting used to the menu system — I remember the LX3 was a bit more intuitive and direct — but at the end of the day today I think I've gotten the core settings figured out. Everything worked fine, the aperture stopped down, ND worked, front dial worked. Around midday today I added a custom "JPEG recipe" that's absolutely wild on paper but definitely unlocks those "Olympus colors". The colors are much more modest in darktable, but I like it, and there's good latitude to punch up the images with any additional contrast, white balance shifts, or lift/density.
