The weather's been warming recently. June this year is quite moderate. As my mom says, "You pay [the cost of living] for the weather".
Saturday June 27th 2026: Felt more like a Thursday. Consulted Claude about equivalence functional analysis for my slipbox and then tried to do it myself. Made some good progress on the challenge.
Sunday June 28th 2026: Dad picked up some donuts, croissants, and bacon/egg/cheese sandwiches from the nearby donut shop. Worked from 3 to 7 since my mom booked an appointment at the salon.
Monday June 29th 2026: Slept in the following morning. Still mentally wrangling the Lumix G9 system switch vs. Canon R6 Mark I upgrade decision. It's such a nerdy question but genuinely gives me a headache, and asking Claude and ChatGPT about it doesn't help. I think Claude's reformulation later that night was close to the mark: Do you want to fully move on from legacy lens support (full-frame RF can adapt EF digital and film SLR lenses) for solid autofocus performance on a mature digital camera/lens system (MFT)?
Tuesday June 30th 2026: Tried to wake up a little earlier, at 9:30am. Made just 1 cup of coffee, rather than the 2 cups-ish that I've been making this past weekend, with the Verve coffee I picked up near the end of my Santa Cruz / Scotts Valley stay. Followed up with messages from friends on Discord and got to know Nihal a little better. I think he's in the Scatterpad groupchat as well. I'm 725 messages overdue.
