Not at home today. Woke up late around 9:15 from a dazed feverish dream about being at the cashier back home and not being able to keep up with orders, hurried and tried to head to campus ASAP for the campus jobs fair. Inclement weather pushed the job fair indoors, and I waited 25 minutes to get in. Not that much new info but I did hear I could appeal my work-study loss this year. Went up to get my student ID before forgetting I didn't upload a new photo for the school year and then walked back to my car. Went grocery shopping at Trader Joe's, got a quick bite from Taqueria Vallarta (grilled chicken super taco), and then headed to Grocery Outlet. Groceries came out to a little over $41 total. I'm kind of glad Nob Hill sticker shocked me that bad all those weeks ago, because I genuinely don't think about getting groceries in Scotts Valley. Headed home, unwound for a bit, and then made dinner: brown rice chicken porridge with leek tops and oyster mushrooms. Throw it all in with the presoaked brown rice and pressure cook for 35 minutes, then natural release. Add additional seasoning (praise to Maggi!), top off with cilantro, green onions, and crunchy chili oil if you have it. Easy cleanup too.
