"[Growing up] is hard and nobody understands." // https://www.homestuck.com/story/2391

Morning: Croissant sandwiches and donuts at Christy's Donuts for Sunday breakfast with parents and Seth. Small place. Seats were a little too small though. I got a pumpkin spice latte from the nearby Starbucks which was surprisingly heavy — radioactive orange, deeply spiced, but also very sweet and with an oily sheen on the top. I had to add in an espresso-style shot from my AeroPress back home.

Afternoon: Drove back to Scotts Valley, unpacked items, marinated chicken thighs in lemon juice and zest, salt, pepper, and paprika. Packed up some items for an eventual drive out.

Evening: Dinner at Stevenson. I intended to get a dining pass for Cornucopia but seeing as they had dinner and late-night already I went ahead and got some food. First serving was mashed potatoes, some veggies, and chicken. Second serving was taqueria-style chicken with corn tortillas, rice, and beans. Super unsettling knowing that almost everyone in that dining hall were 17 or 18. I probably didn't look out of place, but I did have a little anxiety for some reason. Stevenson Dining was bigger on the inside than I remembered, so I found some room to sit down. Watched an episode of the Mary Tyler Moore Show — it's been forever — about Phyllis getting jealous of Mary dating her platonic boy friend.
