Evening: A very productive hour of RotMG maxing my Knight and Bard to 4/8. Paid rent to Donna. Dinner — sour salmon head soup. Tasted better than it sounded. Read a little bit of Pale Fire. Kinbote is sterling mad, and divinely funny. Played RotMG for another couple of hours, and lost my Bard. RIP. I'm going to miss the Wavecrest Concertina the most, but honestly I don't know if it's all that much better than something like an Assassin's poison or a Huntress's trap. Oh, look. You've got me nerding about RotMG again. Didn't work on Soteriology of the Coherent 2.0. Honestly with my love-hate relationship with the canon game, I'm thinking of retooling the story into a fantasy political intrigue with generous conspiracy and less apostasy (was Leucoryx all that devoted to Oryx? Turns out, he doesn't have to be, if this is an original work!). At the very least it'd give me more flexibility on writing the Sanctuary elites and their power structures. Just last week I fleshed out the outline of SotC so much so I walked my fingers right into a constitutional crisis between the four wings of the Sanctuary! How many bullet hell MMORPG players would have the brain to track the subtleties of this conflict, let alone keep up the diction? I'm joking. Even I didn't have to brain to keep up writing the diction of SotC 1.0 (though it is very lovely). We'll see. I guess I just don't want to devote mine or my reader's time/energy to RotMG when they could just enjoy the story.
