Hell must've frozen over for me to use my Pixel 9a as my default camera, but it's really just that good and convenient for daily snapshots. The Macro Focus and 2x near-optical zoom quality is super nice for food shots, and I've noticed the perspective distortion in general tends to be most apparent for the rims of plates, sloping down into the food, and not always for the food itself. And even then you can sometimes pass the "plate stretching" off as a stylistic quirk.
