"[Growing up] is hard and nobody understands." // https://www.homestuck.com/story/2391

I loaded into her silver Prius with my camera and backpack and we planned out some places to hit up in the city. I admitted I didn't know too too much about certain locations other than downtown, but per a list of suggestions from Julie's friend and my own intuitions we headed to a nearby taqueria first. Julie snagged a burrito. On the way and into the taqueria we talked about my shrooms trip, our experiences at school, and her dad's pressure on her and her sister, Mindy. Turns out the guy isn't so fond of Mindy going to Seattle and wanting to become a teacher. Julie thinks these odd and frustrating comments from her father are because he's potentially on the spectrum and generally disconnected from broader social relations beyond immediate family. We walked to a frozen yogurt from a small quaint place on the corner of a plaza. They had $5 all-you-can-fill-in-the-bowl frozen yogurt on Tuesdays and Fridays. Julie got a bit of everything and was able to really figure out what was good. I played it safe and got their normal tart, a strawberry banana, and a chocolate flavor; with some gummy worms, gummy bears, dark chocolate, coconut flakes, and some gummy/jelly mochi. Their normal tart flavor was my favorite, and my favorite toppings were a toss-up between the dark chocolate, coconut flakes, and mochi.
