Combined entry on the #computer because I'm a bit short on time and brain space.

March 20th 2025 saw Shruti and Sasha head home for the break. I stayed by since Julie Tran, my middle/high school friend from UCLA, was coming over to visit Santa Cruz the day following. I would've gone that same day as well. In the immediate two hours after they went back home, I really missed them and got to thinking how painful it would be when they (and I) would move out for the end of the school year. "Gaining" a single room for a day was just too weird for me, and I was glad to head down to Rachel Carson for dinner if only to see people. I walked back to the dorm and did a bit of photo editing, but otherwise, I didn't do much that day. I did some packing and put my clothes for the break in my car in the West Remote Lot, which would ease up the trip the following day. Stricken with an odd freedom I slept late, around 1am instead of the normal 12am.

March 21st 2025 today was much more eventful and light in comparison. I slept in until 9:45pm much to my chagrin, though by a stroke of luck (or timing?) Julie Tran said she would be arriving closer to 11pm than 10pm. That gave me good time to get ready for the day and even have some breakfast — eggs, a couple of chicken apple sausages, tofu scramble, fruit oatmeal. Porter Dining looked like it had some reduced capacity, but even then there weren't many people eating to begin with. I ate as fast as I could without making myself sick and headed out, just in time to see Julie pull in past the parking lot and into the inlet between the dorms and the on-campus apartments.
