And I'm too in my head and I apologize and if I could do anything else right now like sleep immediately and rest up for tomorrow I will. I will go to sleep, soon. First I must write this. March 2nd 2025.
Woke up late today, around 9:00. Got ready, and me and Seth headed to Noah's Bagels around 9:35. Seth drove us -- apparently his new driving instructor, who was my own almost four years ago, is still teaching well, though the brake pedal on the instructor's car is quite sensitive. We swept in and ordered. Seth got a lox sandwich on plain; I got a pastrami on onion. We got a couple blueberry bagels for our parents too, and then took off to Grocery Outlet. Seth got some snacks and a couple energy drinks. All I could think of were the bounty of snacks I had back in my dorm. So we went home after that and dug in. I made some coffee -- brought thr whole Verve bag -- 21g/350ml, and though the sludge at the top of the filter scared me a bit it tasted as rich and as extracted as if should've been. Delicious coffee, delicious bagel sandwich. A couple chance bites of the blueberry muffin on the side that came with the order also were delicious. Futzed around on the computer for a bit, packed up and got ready, dropped off the point of sale terminal at the shop, and then drove to campus. The drive was alright. I didn't feel rushed at all, cruising in the right-side lane.
Campus was fine. Actually, more than fine. The weather had gotten back to normal. I never felt so grateful for the wind and the chill! Got back up to my dorm, made a carafe full of hojicha tea, did some more work on the computer, talked to Sasha about politics and executive power around 6:00, and we headed down to Rachel Carson Dining around 6:30. RCC had some falafels and chicken shawarma. I made my big salad per usual, though I couldn't quite finish the last bit of it. And, well. You know what happened.
Headphones on I walked back up, Sara Bareilles playing through the cans like a siren. Sad in a way. Pleasant in another.
Said hi to Ava when she came in with Shruti, and also said hi to Dharmesh when he was messing with one of our cat memes on our corkboard. (No foul play. Just digital admiration.)
Went on a night walk past McHenry Library and into Cowell/Stevenson, and then back left on Hagar Drive past College Nine and through Kresge back to Porter A -- for some night shots.
