Woke up somewhat early around 8:15 but lamped in bed for an hour. Stayed in bed another 20 minutes waiting for my brother to get ready. I finished getting ready around 10:30, got my bearings, and headed off at 10:50 to pick up Julie and Ethan for KBBQ. The drive to KBBQ was pleasant and mild, though I nearly took the wrong lane once. The area was also closer than I thought, a few miles on a segment of l-680 South. Gen KBBQ was a bit dim inside, and the servings of meat were a bit smaller than expected, but considering it was all you could eat meat and they were short-staffed for a whole hour as the place got busier and busier I was more grateful than judgmental. In total there was myself, Julie, Aaron, Emily, and Ethan. Got some food pics in. Spent a good couple hours sitting and talking and then we swung by Teaspoon for some milk tea. I got a milk oolong tea with boba which was a little weak for my taste (both the tea itself, and the sugar level — uncommon for me to wish something were sweeter), but any excuse to spend more time with friends I will not pass up on. Julie went back home with Aaron so it was just me and Ethan. Me and Ethan are not particularly close so the car ride was quiet, but he did laugh a little at my U-turn so maybe he's just got some other stuff on his mind. He's also a quieter guy in general. After that I went back home, tucked into a much needed coffee, and had a few snacks. Seth dragged me out to iTea around 5:30; I didn't buy anything, but I did have to go because he only has his driving permit and cannot drive alone yet. He was chill. Cursed a couple more times than I expected but, whatever. Mom made some spiced herb beef soup and some fried egg bittermelon cakes. Yum. Watched the episode of Cheers about a British spy (later found to be a prodigious liar). Spent the rest of the night chipping slightly at my cogsci research, and checking social media. Talked with Dave a little.
