December 24th: House at MAX CAPACITY!! Additional family (dad's side) and family friends came over for some Christmas lunch/dinner. Mom made delicious banh sung with rice noodles, fresh veggies, and a broad array of meats from pork sausage to stirfried beef and onion to shrimp. Uncle Thai also gave me a Minolta ambient and flash light meter(!), a vintage hotshoe flash compatible with my (dad's) Canon T90 and my own Canon RP, a macro flash, and a macro bellows(!). Some time ago I was actually looking into a bellows system for film scanning; when I did eventually scan my film onto my digital camera I wound up using a cheap-ish slide duplicator. I'll have to try the bellows tomorrow (30th), after lunch with friends. Pictured are banh sung ingredients, and assorted family and family friends.
