Woke up late today. Had a Vietnamese pork sausage, and lettuce and mayo sandwich. Drove to Great Mall area to swing by Trader Joe's but it was raining so some moisture got on my camera and the Vivitar 28mm I had attached. (Oy, am I glad I didn't bring the 24/1.4 ... ) Got some dark chocolate espresso beans and some "Trader Takis" as mentioned. Talked a bit with the cashier about photography. They're graduating this Thursday!! Excellent news. Per Trader Joe's the place was a bit disorganized. Snacks above frozen items? Insanity. Nonetheless I got in and out in good time, and then off I went to Barefoot Coffee in Santa Clara. Smaller place than I expected but no compromise on quality. Ordered an americano and got a bag of some dark roast beans and headed back home. Turns out this blend has lots more going for it than the "dark" moniker would imply: it had a surprising about of acidity as well and tasted very smooth. Cf. with the Columbian medium roast from SF Roasters — Barefoot's bag was definitely lighter. Dropped off and picked up Seth from the library per his studying, around 4 and 6:30. Uncle Bora made some fried fish skins and stewed pork skins. Delicious, but I wish there was some more protein. Worked a bit more on Ladon and Orange, and I got 10 or so new Psyc 120 notes into Helios. Short day today but I think I made it count.
