Slept a little weird last night. Woke up at 7:30, then drifted back to sleep, then woke up at 7:50 and lamped in bed for half an hour on my phone. Spent a little longer getting ready in the bigger shower with the two curtains than normal. Headed for breakfast ... but instead of going to the dining hall I swung by Kresge College's Owl Nest Cafe for a breakfast bowl. Ordered the namesake Kresge bowl and got back to dorm. It was alright. Plenty savory with the egg and grain frittata and the veggies but the flavor of parsley really overpowered it. Thinking of building my own bowl tomorrow, or someday next week. What is Porter having tomorrow anyway? (Turns out it's ham steaks. They only start serving lunches at 11. Ay yai yai. My body's locked in to a morning breakfast and somewhat early dinner.)
Even with the gray day today, things were pleasantly slow and free on account of my finishing my literature review draft. Linguistics got a little dry in the last 20 minutes of class but we made it. Walked to Ezra's car with them and Hailey in the east remote parking lot and drove back to their apartment in the Redwood Grove and hung out there for half an hour. Walked back to dorm around 6:35, dropped off my stuff, and headed to Rachel Carson — quieter than usual and a pleasant experience from the au gratin potatoes and broccoli and carrots and chicken to the (well, it's my regular) massive lettuce edamame mushroom cucumber celery feta salad with blue cheese dressing and lemon. Spent the rest of the night working on Ladon and Orange Side B (I know, I know) and Helios — finished entering in some notecards on the generativity of language!
