Woke up a bit early today. Drove to downtown Santa Cruz to get a bite from Zocolli's Deli for breakfast with Sasha, then headed off to Target so they could return their broken water filter pitcher. Checked out a few books, then drove back to campus. Walked and slogged up Oakes and Rachel Carson -- terribly warm by 11. I walked back to Rachel Carson Dining to get some ice for my water bottle, and then back to Porter to make some iced coffee. Spent most of the day lamping at my computer and trying to tough out the heat. Had a philosophy club meeting from 6:00 to 8:15. Got super dark by 7:00. Took the bus back to Porter but decided to check out College Nine/JRL's dining hall. Turns out they close early on Sundays at 8pm! Took the bus again the rest of the way to Porter, dropped off some items, waited until 9:15, then walked to RCC Dining for a well-overdue dinner. Had a hot dog with ketchup and mustard and a bit of pico de gallo, and a seriously loaded salad with lettuce, spinach, green beans, a bit of feta, and mushrooms. YUM. Been craving fiber lately. Watched a couple episodes of the Dick Van Dyke Show over dinner. So cozy. Took it easy on the walk back up to Porter, finished getting ready for bed around 10:25, and I've been trying to relax since.
