Lately, a lot of resources I've been reading seem to mention this seemingly new term: agency. In simplest terms, it seems to be something related to free will, but ... more abstract ? Freedom. Probably

• In this piece, the author talks about difference between agency and ambition, which seems to make sense.

• In this piece, Aella talks about treating children like humans, like adults, which resonated with me. I believe this is required to maximize agency among the next generation.

• "Intelligence is Agency", had garnered quite a discourse this past few years, following the advent of LLMs, when once again the question of what intelligence is came to the limelight, and seems like LLMs lack it ... but so do some humans ?
